You don’t have to lose yourself in a full life.

Life asks a lot from you.

Work. Family. Kids. Caregiving. Stress. Schedules. The constant pressure to keep going.

And somewhere in the middle of it all, your body can start to feel like the last thing on the list.

Lila Within was created for that moment.

For the person who wants to feel strong again.
For the person who needs one hour away from the chaos.
For the person who wants to move, breathe, rest, sweat, and feel like themselves again without judgment or pressure.

Hi, I’m Heather Dana.

I’m the founder of Lila Within, a New York State certified teacher, a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, and a mom to two little ones, Sam and Sofia.

After becoming a mother of two within 14 months, while my husband was often away serving as a military and airline pilot, I felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and disconnected from my own health.

Yoga became the thing that brought me back.

Just a couple of hours a week gave me space to breathe, move, and feel steady again. My mental, emotional, and physical health changed. I had more to give because I finally had a place to receive.

That experience became the heart of Lila Within.

Why Lila Exists

Lila Within is a warm, welcoming yoga and Pilates studio in Cortlandt Manor where real-life bodies come to feel stronger, calmer, and more at home in themselves.

You do not have to be flexible before you start.
You do not have to know what you are doing.
You do not have to perform to belong here.

Our teachers will meet you where you are, help you modify when you need to, and give you space to build strength, confidence, and consistency at your own pace.

What Lila Means

In Sanskrit, Lila means divine play.

The dance of life, creativity, and connection.

To us, Lila is the reminder that wellness is not another chore. It is a way back to yourself.

A way to move with more freedom.
Breathe with more ease.
Build strength without punishment.
Find quiet in a loud season.
Feel connected again, on the mat and in everyday life.

You’re Welcome Here

Whether you are brand new, returning after years away, moving through motherhood, aging, stress, injury, or simply trying to take better care of yourself, there is space for you here.

Come as you are.

We’ll meet you on the mat.
